We start today the series of interviews dedicated to our favorites among the representatives to Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
Zibbz, the musical project from Switzerland, formed of Coco and Stee, propose us this year a song with a challenging message and an occidental sound. “Stones” is the song with which they want to win as many votes and sympathies at Lisbon.

For those who do not know you very well, who are Zibbz and which is the general message of your songs?

We’re a Swiss sibling duo – home in Los Angeles & Zurich. Living for music – with no plan B. We want to transmit a positive message, it’s a call to stand up against bullying and hate (whether it’s coming from others or even from yourself!)

Tell us a bit about the most important achievement from your carreer before the qualification to ESC 2018.

Of course we always used to watch the ESC with our family when we were kids. But we never felt we had the right song to compete. With «Stones» we think we have a song in hand that has the potential to make a little difference in this world./ Desigur, am fost intotdeauna obisnuiti sa privim ESC impreuna cu familia noastra cand eram copii.

What are your long-term career goals?

Release new music videos, and keep creating!

What is your favorite track song from your national songs that had participated in Eurovision until now?/ Care este piesa voastra preferata, repreentanta a tarii voastre la Eurovision de pana acum?

We loved the Lovebugs entry and of course the great Celine Dion! / Ne-au placut mult Lovebugs si, desigur, grandioasa Celine Dion!

What is the message of your song from this year’s Eurovision?/ Care este mesajul piesei voastre la Eurovisionul din acest an?

We wrote «Stones» in a songwrite-camp with the Canadian songwriter Laurell Barker. The message is something which moves us all deeply and sadly still is a problem in today’s world. It’s about inclusion, equality, diversity and tolerance. It’s a call to stand up against bullying and hate./ Am scris “Stones” intr-o tabara de muzica, impreuna cu compozitorul canadian Laurell Barker.

What do you think about the history of this competition? Who is your favourite winner by far?

We love that it brings people of all races together. Of course ABBA is the most legendary performance, but our absolute favorites are Common Linnets./ Ne place ca aduce oameni de toate rasele impreuna.

What do you like to do for fun apart from music?

We have always lived for music – with no plan B. We knew we wanted to become professional musicians and studied & performed from a young age. It can be chaotic and tough at times but it always pays off when we get to perform and release new music./ Am trait mereu pentru muzica – fara niciun plan B. Am stiut ca am vrut sa devenim muzicieni profesionisti si am studiat si cantat de la o varsta frageda.
